The birthday girl had a very happy day yesterday. We had breakfast with friends in the farmhouse at Wesola Polana in the high Cascades, with a chocolate birthday cake; stopped for a short hike through the forest on our way home, then an icecream at the lush Cascadia Farm stand, then went out for pizza at Tutta Bella, with Patricia. Her presents of a set of unicorns and a stuffed horse gave her much delight, as did books from Yaya&Yayu and a painting set from Sophia and Oliver. Despite the big party last weekend, she took the celebration of her own birthday, and the significance of turning 4, very seriously.
