Wesola Polana

We spent Memorial Day long weekend in the Methow Valley, in the north Cascades, in the intriguing "rolling huts" of Wesola Polana, with a group of friends led by Petra and David. Pretty idyllic.. evening tapas and pancake breakfasts in the very pleasant cafe, kids running and playing together on the huge lawns, baseball, hiking, forest walks, cooking together, even some horses to visit with. We drove up on the east route along the spectacular, arid Columbia River valley, and back through the lush plunging gorges, snow peaks, waterfalls and lakes of the North Cascades Scenic Highway-- truly a magnificent round trip. After six years, Washington continues to surprise us.
