Breakthrough

After a year or two of neglect of the bike situation, Anselm decided this month that it was time to really get cycling and has been putting much effort into getting himself mobile. So after book club today (very fun! the boys discussed Rascal, a 1920's story of a boy and his pet raccoon), Anselm and I took advantage of the Mt Baker location to cycle almost 5 miles back along the lake to Madison Park.
There we met Blaise and Eliot, ecstatic in the wake of Naomi's birthday party, and headed for Essential Baking, like in the old days, for lemon crepes ("but tell them, not too sweet!", said the kids).
I am very proud of him that he went from an unused bike with training wheels to five mile rides over the last three weekends. Thanks Bike to School Month for the motivation.
