She is growing up fast

I was doubtful about this, so I asked her what the symbols meant. She explained, then explained how she worked them out, then did a couple for me (by mentally moving "manipulables" around). They have free choice of works at Montessori so it seems that this is indeed what she wants to do with her preschool time. She does love glyphs and is obsessed by writing of numbers and letters--she will race indoors from a day out and NEED to write down a 6 or an X.. she sees "M" in her crossed legs and "a" in her rolled-up crepe. It is fun to see her start to manipulate the symbols.
