Big girl bed, take one

Eliot's bed issues have been temporarily resolved while waiting for the true bed delivery by the fold-out couch in her room. She loves it. This morning when I came back from the pool I found her standing beside her bed, reading through a Bill Peet book laid out on it along with several other volumes. While I was making dinner, both kids disappeared upstairs, and when I went eventually to see what all the silence was about, found Anselm playing with his soldiers, and Eliot under her blankets looking through a book propped on her chest. I can see another 80 years of this ahead.
