Woods Hole, at last

Here are some of the Woods Hole highlights: playing on the dock and boats and trees in front of our house, the beauty of Eel Pond (you can almost see our house from the main road, in the far left corner of the top photo), friends Avigail and Itamar, and a long weekend visit from Laurie, which included a trip to a reconstructed corn mill-- where we bought cornmeal that Laurie and Anselm baked into the best corn muffins ever-- and a whale-watching trip with many humpback sightings. Anselm mastered tree-climbing, scaling some 20 foot apple trees, and had a wonderful time catching, keeping, feeding, examining and releasing the sea life.

thank you for posting these wonderful pictures! Someday Anselm and Eliot will also be college kids left behind as you and Blaise spend the summer in Woods Hole, and I'm sure they will look back on these photos with the same grin they gave me this morning. I hope the course went well, the Crane house was wonderful as always, and perhaps even that I'll see you there next summer!

all my best, Fannie

Fannie! We missed you. I have a crystal clear memory of you as a sassy.. ten year old? the year I was first there. And the evolution of the Fannie phenomenon from year to year. Hope you will visit next year.
