Currently reading

Anselm has just finished Diary of a wimpy kid, which he adored. He got officially sick of Jack and Annie some time ago. Onward and upward (maybe). Edited to add: forgot to mention that we are reading together Pullman's His Dark Materials series. We are on the third book, The Amber Spyglass. Dark and anticlerical, we all love it.

Eliot is on a major Seuss kick and I found myself thinking in rhyme this morning after a weekend of solo parenting.

Blaise is done with The Count of Monte Cristo, while I have churned through The Three Musketeers, Mrs Dalloway and Brideshead Revisited on recent trips. Can't believe I had left Mrs Dalloway 'til now; it is a perfect novel. Maybe I'm now the right age for it, though. Brideshead of course brought back the crazy love we susceptible colonial girls all had for the excellent BBC adaptation in early high school. I still recall long swathes of it.
