School's out
Friday was the last day of first grade. I wonder if this is the most dramatic year of transition, or if every one will feel like this. All the kids now read, write, reason, speak confidently, move amiably among one another with calm good humour like miniature adults. Their real teeth have arrived, their faces have matured. They are all radiantly beautiful, delicate and graceful, full of lithe energy, the baby awkwardness gone, the teenage lumps and bumps far away. Craig worked throughout the year to help produce a book of wonderful portraits that was presented to the teacher. A treasure.
