Ski run

Ski trip was a great success-- Anselm had a ball, with three full days on the slopes, and progressed nicely. Whistler Kids is a pretty spectacular experience.. he skied all the mile down the mountain from the high point at the top of the first flight of lifts where the classes are held.

His only disappointment, he said, was only going up the lift twice.
Eliot swam again with Blaise in the morning then we went for coffee in the village. There she was fascinated by "the cave of the skeleton bear", a skeleton of a cave bear in the window of a wonderful stone and fossil shop. She and I headed back early due to the onset of snow. This didn't deter the intrepid ski class. Anselm came off the slopes at almost 4pm, beaming and proud. The boys stopped over in Vancouver for dinner to avoid the border queues and stumbled upon Gastown, the quaint cobblestoned old district by the river. Anselm loved the famous Steam Clock, and wolfed down a huge meal in a pretty Italian place.
