up after the recruiting brunch, passing around the unbelievably beautiful sound through sunset and dusk. The boys came up on Thursday. Anselm had his second day of ski class today and was quietly blissful and clearly wiped out. Not so much as to prevent the kids bouncing all over one another.. they really miss each other when they are apart. Eliot burbled cheerily for the entire five hours in the car, and arrived wired by nap deprivation: turned up to 11 in her excitement about Anselm, dinner (a very decent Japanese meal in the hotel, where both of the kids ate magnificently, miso, rice, edamame, gyoza, seaweed, agedashi tofu), the room, and the promised swim we took after dinner in the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. She ran around everywhere and couldn't keep the enthusiasm out of the volume of her nonstop narrative. She wore a little life jacket in the pool and was beside herself with the joy of swimming independently. She is one happy, happy person. Here she is repeating her Tokyo sushi choice of the shrimp head.
