We spent Memorial Day weekend in La Jolla.. Blaise gave a talk on Friday, and I am still here working. In between, we mostly just pottered around our cottage and the nearby beach.
It was so much of a holiday that I didn't even take photos. Anselm loved the rocks at Windandsea (as predicted). Both kids loved jumping into the waves at The Shores, although got a bit chilled by 6.00pm. Anselm and Blaise went on a sea-kayaking tour of the caves, and Anselm didn't quite die of hypothermia.. maybe next time he will paddle to keep warm! Blaise and I loved sunset drinks and bar food overlooking the beach at The Shores. Very relaxed, very nice little slice of sea and sun.
