We are not supposed to assemble, so spent the day at home with the kids. A highlight of this enforced interactivity was that during Eliot's alleged nap (throughout which the little voice upstairs never ceased), Blaise, Anselm and I got pretty involved in Settlers of Catan, a great board game in which one strives for resources, develops settlements and roads, robs and trades. Anselm implemented a winning strategy which crept up on both the parents-- he cornered the ore market and through clever development of settlements near to the optimal port, blew us out of the water. Dastardly capitalist swine.
