Shook off some of the rain doldrums with a visit to the SAM this morning to see the Michelangelo sketches and the Calder exhibition.. some beautiful, tiny, delicate pieces that were a surprise, and a delight to Anselm especially who was fascinated by the odd balancing acts. Eliot is a fan of items of the permanent collection, a huge black nightmare rat and the sparking suspended cars. We joined some friends for excellent dim sum at O'Asian, which both kids loved. Then dropped into the library to grab some books while Eliot did pu

zzles, then to the Market for dessert of coffee and cannoli (doughnuts for Anselm) and stocking up on diLaurenti's essentials. The sun finally came out and the Sound was a sheet of light. Anselm wants me to add that we were very sorry to have to turn around and drive in the other direction.
