Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year, with the company of Clea, Gordon and Patricia. The kids were extremely excited about "the feast", and I did indeed produce, for the first time ever, a roast turkey, stuffed, with homemade cranberry sauce and gravy, and lots of vegetables; and a "tarte normande aux pommes" for dessert. Anselm painstakingly peeled the many apples for this dish. Not sure that the reality of turkey quite lived up to the anticipation-- which might get me off the hook for making it again since I also don't quite understand the appeal. While Eliot demanded a leg and gnawed on it for a while before declaring herself done, Anselm couldn't be induced to sit at the table until the dead animal had been removed.
