We are all leaving for Whistler tomorrow, and I have been vaguely fretting about the packing for days. I am realizing that it is because I just don't really know snow, and what we will need, especially for the kids-- Blaise and I have no gear, approximately, so whatever. But I feel compelled to pack the kids two sets of snow clothes each (in case they get wet..?) and, it seems, dozens of changes of clothes. It's also going to be Eliot's first "daycare" experience and I am foreseeing that that might be a bit rocky, so trying to figure out how to smooth that for her when she is decidedly not the "softie" or cuddly animal type.
We will be travelling like a family off on a Grand Tour. We'd better work out how to streamline and reduce the bulk, or this snow thing is not going to figure in our family's future.
