A new highlight

This afternoon we took our snorkel gear a few miles north to Tunnels Beach, which became everyone's vote for the most beautiful beach anywhere. In sparkling foot-deep water we began to see myriads of colorful fish, and further out, on the edge of an underwater cliff, Blaise and I finally had that close-up turtle encounter I've been longing for. We circled around him at a metre distance before he dived lugubriously down into the darkness of the crevasse below. I eventually had to abandon the water for cold, but Blaise stayed in and met three more turtles, and had a slightly too close encounter with a moray-like eel.
