Today we took a long day trip visiting Robin, Paul and Rachel, and Robin's charming parents, in their cabin on Lake Wenatchee-- quite beautiful, as should be evident. No snow on the ground at the lake, but lots to see on the way up, and it was pretty cold-- Anselm's insistence on full ski gear was overkill, but not by too much. Anselm and Rachel had a great time succumbing to cabin fever together. We also visited a nearby family with a boy and girl, where Anselm stalked geese on the lakeshore with his 7 year old new friend and two walkie-talkies. Eliot is not much of a car traveler, it turns out, but was relentlessly cheerful whenever circumstances permitted (no carseat confinement).
