Evenings

With Eliot keeping us to a tight schedule in the evenings-- quick dinner, bath, and bed by 7 if possible-- there is a lot of time left for Anselm's activities, particularly given his current congenial and active mode. He had a very productive night tonight. First chemistry set: two experiments, one on mixing and one on refractive indices. Then he opened his fingerprint kit (last of the Christmas presents!) and he and Blaise checked out the inks and took his fingerprints. Then, a rip-roaring chapter of Volcano Adventure! The volcanoes in question are in Japan, and tonight the boys washed off the mud of a near-explosion at a traditional ryokan. We are enjoying talking about possibilities (volcanoes, ryokans, baths) for our trip in June.
