The best big brother

We went out with Robin and Paul for a spectacular dinner at Sitka and Spruce tonight, while Rachel came to our place with her regular babysitter, Tia. Eliot was already in bed when we left and would have been very distressed to find us not home and a stranger in charge. When she woke up (as she has been doing since I went away last), Tia reports that Anselm went in to comfort her; the two of them talked, he tucked her back in, and she settled back to sleep. I'm happy to say that after an evening with Anselm, Tia-- who used to teach at Anselm's preschool before he started there-- enthusiastically offered her services any time.
