Summer, tentatively

Today was, finally, a beautiful day. After Blaise's fathers' day sleep-in, we walked down to Monsoon for Sunday dim sum and serendipitously joined Tova, Barak and Nancy who had had the same inspiration. Then, whisked ourselves to Golden Gardens beach for Simone's 4th birthday party, a very relaxed and whimsical affair in streaming sunshine, featuring a treasure hunt and a seahorse pinata, beautifully framed by trees and sea.

Then, home for our summer block party. With the street closed off by a bouncy castle provided by Russ and Juli, the growing multitude of kids bounced, drove Chris' car, rode bikes, threw balls and roamed freely throughout the back yards and basements for hours while adults met, talked and enjoyed everyone's excellent food offerings.
