Okinawa

From the lectures-in-beautiful-places series, here's the view from the window where I gave my three hours of talks yesterday. I'm sorry not to have caught this lovely institute in the glorious sun of the morning. Blaise and kids arrived after another a day of hanging out in Tokyo, while I had a free afternoon to prepare, and gave my lectures yesterday. They all came in in time for dinner, and then followed a weirdly manic couple of hours.. Eliot found it very, very hard to settle for bed; she was very excited to see me again. It's hard for her to be separated from me while we're away. We did get in a swim at the beach in front of the hotel at 7am this morningbefore it got too hot (then rained).

I can't believe how beautiful the scenery is. Anselm's pictures bathing in the water in his kimono are lovely. He's on my desktop. What a trip!
