Steady snow through the night and day has the neighbourhood shut down. Anselm went out in the morning to sled with the neighbours, ending up with Chris and Dylan in the yard next door (where I tried to get a view from the upstairs window). He and I went out again in the late afternoon to sled down our local arterial with half the neighbourhood. There we bumped into Bill and Heidi, which swelled our evening into an impromptu chanukah/solstice/Christmas party of 4 families, Nancy's fabulous latkes, candles, and much cake and
wine.
