Today we had a great time at Sophia's dance party at the Montlake Community Center. Sophia is a gorgeous dancer and was utterly in her element. No good photos (until Craig sends some): too dark for my camera. Anselm was one of two boys apparently judged sufficiently tolerable to girls to invite. He did entertain them by chasing them around on the dance floor, but when the boogieing started getting serious, he and Tova disappeared outside to do a bit of dancing on their own, and hang out, too cool for school. Eliot did some great dancing, and ably joined in Musical Chairs, but finally could not withstand the draw of the climbing structure in the playground outside. I hovered nearby til twenty minutes of problem-free hanging and climbing (not to mention some emphatic "Don't help me, Mum!"s) convinced me I could step away-- at which point several other parents took turns hovering.
