Easter weekend

Spring is here, and we are enjoying Cathy's ongoing gifts to us in the shape of flowers appearing every day in the garden. Yesterday was a beautiful day, perfect for the Volunteer Park egg hunt and a lovely afternoon to hang out next door while Anselm and Chris played between the two backyards. In the evening we walked across the hill through the sweet smells of blossoms to have dinner with the Mitchells. Today we had the excitement of a visit to Abby and Barry's ward at UW to meet the new arrivals, Bella and Jack. Bella clocked in at 5lb 5, and Jack was well over 6lb. Everyone healthy and happy. Tonight another great dinner da Stefania and Craig (taking care of us while Blaise is away again)-- a traditional southern Italian feast! The indisputable highlight: Stefania's amazing Easter ricotta cake flavoured with orange blossom, wheat, vanilla, rum and espresso.
