Mothers' day

Happy Mothers' Day, mothers! Especially mine.

Here was my present, with the big help of teacher Carlen and volunteer dads who helped put the books together. The cover is cloth that the kids dyed themselves.

To clear up some possible misconceptions: I rarely wear that transparent black lab coat-- or scientist superhero cape?-- while contemplating brains. While food does burn, from time to time ("from time to time is when you cook", rejoined Anselm this morning), I do like cooking and produce several edible meals a week without incident (or, apparently, anyone noticing). The burning letter was not my fault-- an alphabet fridge magnet mysteriously appeared, alight, under a pot.

Adrienne,
Thanks so much for posting Anselm's book. It was very hard for me to let go of these on Friday. But now I know I can go visit Anselm's whenever I want! And your annotations at the end were great. I thought the moms would have a thing or two to clear up, and just so you know, I took everything with a grain of salt. :>)

Dear Adrienne,

Thanks so much for posting Anselm's wonderful work! While I'm reading "Nietzsche Essay final draft" and 15 pages on "Depiction and Engagement in Saul Levine's 'Whole Note'", this has been a lovely break and good reminder of where it all started!

Love,
Char
