More Sandy Ago

.. as the kids seemed to think it was called. We kept it simple-- a good idea since it got up to almost 100 degrees. Endless ball games on the beach in front of the hotel; swimming in the pool; a walk along the coast trail to the downtown beaches where the kids climbed and paddled while seals swam just yards away; a climb down the tunnel to a sea cave; a trip to Windandsea Beach; some sheltering from the sun at the Scripps aquarium; meeting up with Isaiah, Julie and Rob for more beach playing and a very nice dinner at The Shores. Over dinner Isaiah paid the requisite gallantries to Eliot who flirted back outrageously, while Anselm fell sound asleep. The dark pixel in the center of the lower left picture is a dolphin. These were a big highlight for me.. I never get over the amazement of large mammals in the wild. I saw a lot of them from our room's balcony.

You were in La Jolla! I grew up there! In spite of it all it is still beautiful and the recent conservation measures have worked to bring back the seals, pelicans, garibaldi, ...

My love to all,
Char

I didn't know (or had forgotten!) that-- what a wonderful place to grow up. Sunshine in the soul! It reminds me of parts of Sydney..

Love,
